SCOPE OF CARE
Health Services offers routine care for most health issues including acute illness and injury, and stable chronic conditions. The Nurse Practitioner sees students by appointment, and walk-ins on a case-by-case basis.
WE DO NOT OFFER ALLERGY IMMUNOTHERAPY. Please refer to our Off-campus Resources for more information on local allergists.
Self-Care Clinic:
Monday-Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM
We offer over-the-counter (OTC) medications, first aid supplies, and contraception.

- Colds/flu
- Diarrhea/constipation
- Indigestion
- Oral pain
- Sore throat
- Lice
- Motion sickness
- Rashes
- Athlete’s foot
- Yeast infection

- Cold/ flu and other respiratory viruses

- Contraceptive care
- Sports physicals (if not completed before arrival to campus)
- On-site rapid testing for strep throat, mono, flu, etc.
- Third-party labs (Labcorp, Quest, and Acutis) are utilized for:

Student Medical Records
Individual Health Records are maintained for all students. Student records are kept for five years after the student leaves St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
All medical records are kept strictly confidential and are not released to anyone without the student’s permission. Requesting a copy of any part of your medical records requires written permission.
*The Wellness Center does not write medical excuse notes to professors.
