Scott Steele
At SMCM:

Olympians
Mark Ivey
Mark went to the 2012 Olympics in London as a coach, where he coached the Swedish Star Boat to a Gold medal.
Scott Steele
Scott raced windsurfers for the United States in the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, where he received a Silver medal.
Rodrigo Amado
Rodrigo competed in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, sailing 470’s for the Brazil Sailing Team. He has continued coaching international events, and coached the Brazilian 470 teams at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
Jesse Kirkland
Jesse competed for Bermuda in the 2012 Olympics in the 49er Class with his brother Zander Kirkland. Jesse was a four time All-American at St. Mary’s and led the team to a Team Race National Championship in 2007, and a Coed National Championship in 2009.
