Sam Rosenblatt ‘18
Sam completed two summer undergraduate research programs and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with majors in sociology, math, and computer science. Sam is now an NSF Fellow completing his Ph.D. in network and data science at the University of Vermont.

Emily Cerna ‘16
Emily double majored in sociology and biology. She began her career coordinating emergency transitional housing for refugee families at Mary House in Washington, DC, and she then went on to complete a master’s degree in Humanitarian Programme Management from the Grenoble Ecole de Management in Grenoble, France. Emily is now a Program Officer for Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE) in Baltimore.

A double sociology and anthropology major at St. Mary’s, Linden went on the serve in the Peace Corps in Burkina Faso. She then pursued two master’s degrees: one in writing at Marquette University in Wisconsin and one in international development at American University. After working as a senior research assistant for the International Food Policy Research Institute, she decided to pursue a Ph. D. program in economics at Cornell University. Lindy now works in the Center for Economic Studies at the U.S. Census Bureau.

Molly’s SMP was entitled “The Perfect Storm and The Response That Followed: A Case Study of Greenville, Mississippi”; it was an evaluation of community disaster relief efforts following Hurricane Katrina. Currently, she is the chief of staff for Senator Bill Ferguson.

Iben received her Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology from Tulane University, and is studying to become an osteopathic physician at William Carey University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is currently a project coordinator, as well as a contract epidemiologist,at the Louisiana Public Health Institute. In addition, she acts as the Director of Research & Evaluation for LearnToLive.
