Navigate your professional journey with support from our Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) team, your Professional Pathways courses, and employer networks. Resume and cover letter help, interview skills, job searching, internship opportunities, and career fairs are just some of the services available to you.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Our Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) and the Business Office, are committed to helping you create a personalized plan to manage your finances effectively and minimize debt. Whether it’s through financial aid counseling, exploring scholarship opportunities, or offering flexible payment options, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Family Resources
We promote student success by building relationships between the College and our families! The Seahawk Parent and Family Liaison, Inside SMCM for Families and Family Resources are provided to help bridge the College and the people who love and support you. We provide ongoing communication, problem-solving and advocacy.

Academics

Academic Advising
Advisors will help you make the most of your college experience. We answer your questions, help you to select your courses and connect you with the Registrar to ensure you graduate on time.
Honors College Promise
The Honors College Promise as part of Learning through Experiential and Applied Discovery (LEAD) is your opportunity to apply what you learn in the classroom to real-world experiences. You can do this by engaging in research, internship, and/or international experiences.
Tutoring
Even honors students sometimes need support. All tutoring is free at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. If you are looking for a tutor, simply stop by the Office of Student Success Services (OS3). Or, email: tutoring@smcm.edu.
At the Writing & Speaking Center – Peer tutors help you brainstorm, plan and begin your writing or speaking project. A peer tutor can also look over your draft and help you through the revision process.
Math Tutoring is available for all 100-level courses from undergraduate teaching assistants working with faculty teaching the course.
Student Fellowships and Awards
The Office of Student Fellowships and Awards will assist you with identifying and preparing to apply for highly competitive prestigious undergraduate and postgraduate awards and fellowships.

The Residence Life Office guarantees housing for four years. With support from our Office of Public Safety you can enjoy a safe and supportive learning community.
Seahawk Early Alert System
The campus uses an early alert system to provide proactive outreach and interventions. Faculty and staff with any concerns about a student notify the Office of Student Success Services and that office connects the student to the appropriate person to help.
