Stephanie Simmons ’05
After majoring in political science at St. Mary’s, Stephanie went on to study law at New England School of Law, where she currently teaches as an adjunct legal research and writing faculty member. She has since then been selected by the National Law Journal as one of its 2015 “Rising Stars – 40 under 40,” for Boston, Massachusetts. She has also been named to the Rising Star list of Massachusetts Super Lawyers and to the Top Women Attorneys in Massachusetts list. She specializes in medical malpractice defense and is a member of the law firm of Murphy and Riley, P.C.

John Bratt ’95
Originally a political science graduate of St. Mary’s, John has gone on to become a highly successful attorney. Recognized as one of top one percent of attorneys in the nation by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, John works as a lawyer in Maryland. He concentrates his practice in civil appeals and personal injury cases, and, as of 2016, has been named to the 2016 Maryland Super Lawyers Top 100 List. John and his currently live in Lutherville, where he serves counsel Rocky Gorge R.F.C., Inc, the 2012 and 2014 USA Rugby Men’s Division II National Champions.

Described as a “high-energy passionate, purpose-filled woman,” she is the owner of Erin Lewis Insurance Agency, a State Farm affiliate; founder of the Women’s Institute of Leadership co-founder of the Gals Lead Teen Program; and the creator of the Southern Maryland Women in Business Networking Luncheon. Nicknamed the “Dream Queen,” she is living her passion of helping women realize their dreams through “insurance and financial services, career clarity, and business leverage.”

Received his law degree in 2013 from Temple University Beasley School of Law. A three-year recipient of a faculty academic scholarship, he also received the first Archer and Greiner Diversity Scholarship, awarded in cooperation with Temple Law School and the City of Philadelphia Law Department. Jose is an associate with Archer and Greiner, one of the largest law firms. His area of expertise are commercial litigation and bankruptcy.
