A Political Science major investigates the evolution of government and politics, from small groups to an international scale.
We stress the importance of a solid foundation of academic knowledge of political theories and methodologies. The cross disciplinary nature of the core curriculum ensures that our students of well prepared for a variety of different careers.
As a St. Mary’s Political Science student, you will gain an understanding of institutions, processes, and behaviors within subnational, national, and international political systems as well as an understanding of key themes in political thought.
