SMP: “Parenting and Physics: How to Support Physics Students who are Raising Children”
Rose received the Myron G. Marlay Award for Outstanding St. Mary’s Project, the Physics Faculty Award for Student Research, and the Physics Service Award. She has presented her undergraduate research at multiple conferences.
Rose will work as an analyst for NAVAIR.
Noah Walsh ’19
Major: Physics (applied) with math minor
Noah won the Physics Faculty Award for Student Research, the Intermediate Physics Award, and the Physics Service Award. He is enrolled in the electrical engineering doctoral program at Princeton University, where he is studying neuromorphic photonic circuits.
Jake Mahnke ’19 & Kaisey McCallion ’19
Jake’s major: Physics (applied); Kaisey’s Major: Physics (applied) and art
Kaisey won the Fundamentals of Physics Award. Both Jake and Kaisey work as scientists for PAE, a government contractor supporting the Navy and other agencies.
Mary Korendyke ’19
Major: Physics (applied) and math
Mary received the Physics Departmental Award. She is working on her doctorate in the climate dynamics program at George Mason University.
Tyler Jones ’18
Major: Physics (applied) and computer science
Tyler received the Physics Departmental Award. He is enrolled the doctoral program in computer science at George Washington University, studying artificial intelligence.
Sydney Jupitz ’17
Major: Physics (fundamental) and math
Sydney is enrolled in the doctoral program in medical physics at the University of Wisonsin.
