Performing Arts at SMCM will give students the opportunity to learn and grow as artists, scholars, and citizens through a combination of active artistic practice, collaboration, and critical thinking and scholarship. 

Engaging with Theater, Music, Dance and Performance in a liberal arts context also gives students the ability to consider how the Performing Arts can work together with other disciplines to examine big social, historical and cultural experiences, questions and problems.

 We maintain an active production season to give students the opportunity to learn through active practice creating public performance for audiences from local, regional, national and global communities.
