Academic Coaching
Academic coaching is a one-on-one, personalized meeting with a trained academic coach who can help you study smarter by helping you develop your skills in time management, goal setting, and test preparation. Appointments are offered face to face or via Zoom. Coaches can help you with resources to manage test anxiety, and help you improve your skills in note-taking, managing stress, and many other challenges common to college students. Coaching is available for all St. Mary’s College students and can be a one-time meeting, or a series of meetings, depending on the student’s interests and needs, with input from the coach.
We listen and offer ideas for new approaches to academic challenges based on each student’s specific needs. We don’t dictate or judge. We’re here to help!
To schedule an academic coaching session, please email os3@smcm.edu or call the Office of Student Support Services at 240-895-4388.
