Computers and Technology Recommendations

Depending on your major, you might have specific computer requirements. What is provided here are the general recommendations for computers at St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

• Windows:  Intel i7 or greater
• Apple:  M1 or M2
• 16GB RAM
• 256 SSD (if using Adobe products 512 SSD)

 

Chromebooks are discouraged, they do not allow you to take full advantage of several applications.

No wireless printers.

Students may print from any computer in the Library using the $30 GoPrint account that is automatically linked to their OneCard Identification card  at the start of each semester. Each printed page costs $0.10.

No personal access points or routers.
