"Whether it's getting grants in a competitive funding climate or presenting complicated experiments in a digestible package, effective communication skills are critical to doing good science. St. Mary's is outstanding in its development of these skills, providing customized feedback and extensive practice that you will not get at another, bigger school with large class sizes and faculty whose primary focus isn't teaching."
