LGBTQIA CLUBS/ INVOLVEMENT
Get Involved
STARS (St. Mary’s Triangle and Rainbow Society) is the main LGBTQ club on campus. They host regular meetings, plan events, and work with LGBTQ Student Services on campus-wide projects like SMCM Pride Month and National Coming Out Day.
TRANSGENDA: is a community for transgender / LGBT+ students on the St. Mary’s campus. They host activities, discussions, and general community building to create a safe space for Transgender seahawks.
TRANS AT ST MARY'S
Trans is an umbrella term to refer to individuals who transgress or transition gender norms instituted by society.
We use the term trans to be as inclusive as possible.
Our Purpose:
- To supply information about the Trans community
- To offer support and resources for individuals who are transitioning
- To highlight policies of the school and larger community that may affect trans students in both positive and negative ways
