SMCM Semester and Academic-Year Programs
Students participating on SMCM semester or academic-year programs will be billed by the SMCM Business Office as part of the normal billing cycle. Your bill will be available through the SMCM Student Portal.
Tuition and Mandatory Fees are payable directly to SMCM. Any institutional scholarships and/or grants may also apply towards SMCM study-abroad programs. Questions about tuition remission or the MD Pre-paid College Trust should be directed to Student Accounts.
Program fees vary by program, and in some cases may be payable directly to SMCM, while in others may be paid directly to the host institution. Program fees may include items such as: housing, meals, international health insurance, and excursions. Please review the appropriate budget sheet, available on each program page, for full details on the costs associated with each individual program.
SMCM Short-Term Study Tours
Tuition and program fees are payable to SMCM through the Student Portal. Students should consult with the faculty director regarding payment due dates as they vary by program, In general, program fees for study tours include international health insurance, excursions, and housing, but may also include airfare and meals. Please review the appropriate budget sheet, available on the program page, for full details on the costs associated with the program.
Non-SMCM Study Abroad Programs
Students participating in a non-SMCM study-abroad program will make program related payments directly to the program provider or organization. Students will also pay a study-abroad fee to SMCM, through the Student Portal. Items and services included in a program fee vary greatly by program and provider. It is important to review the program costs and inclusions prior to applying for a non-SMCM study abroad program.
