Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement
St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement. The departments of Alumni Relations, Development, Integrated Marketing and Communications, Events and Conferences and the Dodge Performing Arts Center comprise the Institutional Advancement unit. The SMCM Foundation, Inc. also comes under the Vice President's portfolio.
This position performs complex administrative duties to support the Vice President in overseeing the unit's mission and goals. The position encompasses organizing, administering and coordinating the office's workload; preparing correspondence, agendas, minutes and reports; maintaining records and confidential files; monitoring budgets; organizing travel and event-related details; and preparing and staffing board meetings for which the Vice President is responsible. Qualifications: Associate's degree, bachelor's preferred; at least six years' office administration experience in a fast paced, multifaceted office, preferably in a higher education environment; expertise in various software applications; excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
