SMCM’s own Professor Christine Adams published a perspective piece in The Washington Post’s Made By History section!

Made by History is a section dedicated to understanding how history made us through examination of the present in light of the past. The MLK quote,“Instead of making history, we are made by history” serves as the inspiration for the section’s title.

In her article, Why President Trump resembles a pre-revolution French monarch, Professor Adams identifies how President Trump resembles King Louis XV through the way he surrounds himself with loyal female advisors, who flatter and soothe him.
