History Students Inducted into Phi Beta Kappa!
History majors Caitlin Schoen and Megan Root as well as History minor Anna Vagnoni were inducted into the Zeta Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa at St. Mary’s College of Maryland on Friday March 30! PAT Induction Ceremony!
On Tuesday March 6, nine new members were inducted into the Alpha Iota Kappa chapter of Phi Alpha Kappa! Phi Alpha Theta (ΦΑΘ) is an American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history. The society has over 400,000 members, with some 9,000 new members joining each year through 970 chapters nationwide.

The History Department invited and registered six current SMCM history majors for this year’s American Historical Association (AHA) Annual Conference.
