The History Department invites applications for the Thomas M. Barrett Memorial Award for Undergraduate Research.
Named after our beloved, departed colleague Tom Barrett, the History Department will award $500 to a deserving History major for the purpose of furthering ongoing research (SMP students are strongly encouraged to apply). Proposals are due to cjholden@smcm by Oct. 6. We will announce the award winner and make the funds available in November.
How to apply:
- Submit a proposal (250 words maximum) describing your research project and its potential significance.
- Submit a description (150 words maximum) of your research needs (e.g., travel to archive, subscription to primary source database, purchase of primary sources).
- Submit a budget that details your expected use of funds.
