Emma Reisinger ’13

Emma’s childhood dream was to be a pioneer. Her interest in resilience, self-sufficiency, and the natural world hasn’t changed much since then. In 2011, she designed her undergraduate thesis in sustainability and in the fall semester of 2012 wrote an essay collection combining research and personal experience, connecting Henry David Thoreau’s Walden with modern-day pursuits of sustainable lifestyles.
