Michael Evans ’01
Michael Evans worked as a PRISM Fellow for two years with Professor Andy Koch, which Michael credits as being one of the main reasons he received offers from the top chemistry graduate schools in the country. An award winning chemical biologist, Evans obtained his doctorate in organic chemistry from The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, Calif. He currently works as an assistant professor in residence in the radiology and biomedical-imaging department at the University of California, San Francisco. There, he leads research groups to create an archive of biomarkers for disease drivers. He also is a member of the scientific advisory board of ORIC Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Thomas Montgomery ’10
A chemistry major at St. Mary’s, Thomas Montgomery went on to receive his doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Chicago. While there, he studied metal-catalyzed reactions under Dr. Viresh Rawal. Currently, Thomas is living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, completing his post-doctoral research with Dr. Amos Smith at the University of Pennsylvania.
