Ok, so you didn’t come to St. Mary’s College JUST for the food. But nourishing yourself while breaking bread and creating community are wildly enjoyable (and important) aspects of everyday life. Sometimes food is not just food. We get it. That’s why we work tirelessly to give you food that is healthy, ethical, and absolutely delicious.
Our campus dining is managed through Bon Appetit, which was awarded the Humane Society of the United States Award for Excellence in Food Service. That means you’re never going to see foie gras and crate-raised veal on the menu (sorry/not sorry), but you will get local and sustainable seafood, cage-free eggs, and farm-to-fork produce. You’ll also get a wide variety of food that fits every appetite–from vegan to paleo.
Life is a combination of magic and pasta.
– Federico Fellini
And St. Mary’s commitment to being environmentally responsible (sixth in Princeton Review’s Top 50 Green Colleges) extends to our latest low-carbon initiative: reusable to-go boxes. So you can have an amazing meal with your toes dangling in the river, while simultaneously nixing styrofoam waste and reducing our campus’s carbon footprint. Not a bad trade off.
