The Department of Art aims to:

• Expose students to creative and intellectual activities that will help them become more thoughtful producers and consumers of visual media
• Provide a platform for students and faculty to work through visual problems
• Study past and present visual cultures
• Explore ideas and concepts through the production and analysis of art

The curriculum is designed to be accessible to students of all interest levels.

As of fall 2021, art history is no longer available as a major or minor, however, art history courses are still offered as they are an integral part of the art major.
