Description:
Join the country’s longest-running historical archaeology field school for an exciting ten-week journey into the history of Maryland’s colonial capital at Historic St. Mary’s City! Learn archaeological methods through hands-on excavation, laboratory work, and artifact analysis at the Leonard Calvert House (c.1635), home of Maryland’s first colonial governor. Attend lectures from leading Chesapeake scholars and enjoy field trips to area archaeological sites. No prior archaeological experience necessary.
APPLICATION DEADLINE—APRIL 6, 2018
Cost: $1600 tuition, plus $75 fee (housing and meal plans available at additional cost)
