Admissions Agreements

Anne Arundel Community College
- Graduate from Anne Arundel Community College with an Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Science (A.S.), Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.), Associate of Science in Engineering (A.S.E.), or Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.)
- Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0
- Submit AACC transcripts along with transcripts from any other colleges they may have attended prior to attending AACC
- Enroll in SMCM within one year of graduating from AACC without attending another institution of higher education
- Satisfy all other SMCM admission requirements
Anne Arundel Community College students are eligible for guaranteed admission if they meet the following requirements:
Students previously enrolled at SMCM are not eligible.
Carroll Community College
- Graduate from Carroll Community College with an Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Science (A.S.), or Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.);
- Are enrolled at the Carroll Community College in good standing;
- Submit the SMCM Application for Admission by the Transfer Priority Admission deadline(s);
- Satisfy all other SMCM admission requirements, which are available on the College website at www.smcm.edu or by contacting an SMCM admission counselor;
- Graduate from the Carroll Community College with a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.2. Cumulative GPA is an average of all course grades you have taken at all of your previously attended colleges/universities;
- Complete the SMCM transfer admission process, including meeting all applicable SMCM requirements and deadlines pertaining to application for admission, enrollment, orientation, and registration, and payment of tuition and fees;
- Abide by the policies and procedures, and any revisions thereof that apply to all SMCM students;
- Submit Carroll Community College official transcripts along with transcripts from any other colleges they may have attended in addition to Carroll Community College; and
- Enroll at SMCM within 1 year of graduating from Carroll Community College.
Carroll Community College students are eligible for guaranteed admission if they meet the following requirements:
Transfer students who meet the Guaranteed Admission requirements above will be awarded a Guaranteed Admission Scholarship of at least $500.
Students previously enrolled at SMCM are not eligible. Part time students are eligible.
Cecil College
- St. Mary’s College of Maryland has signed two program-specific transfer agreements with Cecil College.

Certified Professional Horticulturist (CPH)
Students who successfully complete the Certified Professional Horticulturist (CPH) Program of Study at a Maryland high school will receive transfer credit for ENST-295: Topics in Environmental Science for 4 credits.
In order to be eligible to receive the transfer credit, students must earn an unweighted cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher for all completed CPH courses as noted on the official high school transcript.
A maximum of 4 credits will be articulated to SMCM for completion of either Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE) or CPH, or both.
Students must have this form completed by their high school and submitted to admissions@smcm.edu.
Chesapeake College
- Graduate from Chesapeake College with an Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Science (A.S.), or Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.);
- Are enrolled at the Chesapeake College in good standing;
- Submit the SMCM Application for Admission by the Transfer Priority Admission deadline(s);
- Satisfy all other SMCM admission requirements, which are available on the College website at www.smcm.edu or by contacting an SMCM admission counselor;
- Graduate from the Chesapeake College with a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.2. Cumulative GPA is an average of all course grades you have taken at all of your previously attended colleges/universities;
- Complete the SMCM transfer admission process, including meeting all applicable SMCM requirements and deadlines pertaining to application for admission, enrollment, orientation, and registration, and payment of tuition and fees;

- Submit Chesapeake College official transcripts along with transcripts from any other colleges they may have attended in addition to Chesapeake College; and

St. Mary’s College of Maryland has signed a program-specific transfer agreement with Chesapeake College.
College of Southern Maryland
- Graduate from CSM with an Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Science (A.S.), or Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.);
- Are enrolled at the College of Southern Maryland in good standing;
- Submit the SMCM Application for Admission by the Transfer Priority Admission deadline(s);
- Satisfy all other SMCM admission requirements, which are available on the College website at www.smcm.edu or by contacting an SMCM admission counselor;
- Graduate from the CSM with a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.2. Cumulative GPA is an average of all course grades you have taken at all of your previously attended colleges/universities;
- Complete the SMCM transfer admission process, including meeting all applicable SMCM requirements and deadlines pertaining to application for admission, enrollment, orientation, and registration, and payment of tuition and fees;
- Abide by the policies and procedures, and any revisions thereof that apply to all SMCM students;
- Submit CSM official transcripts along with transcripts from any other colleges they may have attended in addition to CSM; and
- Enroll at SMCM within 1 year of graduating from CSM.
College of Southern Maryland students are eligible for guaranteed admission if they meet the following requirements:
Transfer students who meet the Guaranteed Admission requirements above will be awarded a Guaranteed Admission Scholarship of at least $500.
Students previously enrolled at SMCM are not eligible. Part time students are eligible.

Community College of Baltimore County

Community College of Baltimore County students are eligible for guaranteed admission if they meet the following requirements:
- Graduate from CCBC with an Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Science (A.S.), Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.), Associate of Science in Engineering (A.S.E.), or Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.)
- Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0
- Submit CCBC transcripts along with transcripts from any other colleges they may have attended prior to attending CCBC
- Enroll in CCBC within one year of graduating from CSM without attending another institution of higher education
- Satisfy all other SMCM admission requirements
Students previously enrolled at SMCM are not eligible.

St. Mary’s College of Maryland also possesses a program-specific transfer agreement with the Community College of Baltimore County.
Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE)
Students who successfully complete the Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE) Program of Study at a Maryland high school will receive transfer credit for ENST-295: Topics in Environmental Science for 4 credits.

- Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0
- Submit FCC transcripts along with transcripts from any other colleges they may have attended prior to attending FCC
- Enroll in SMCM within one year of graduating from FCC without attending another institution of higher education
- Satisfy all other SMCM admission requirements
Students previously enrolled at SMCM are not eligible.
Harford Community College

Howard Community College

Howard Community College students are eligible for guaranteed admission if they meet the following requirements:
- Graduate from HCC with an Associate of Arts (A.A.) or Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.);
- Are enrolled at the Howard Community College in good standing;
- Submit the SMCM Application for Admission by the Transfer Priority Admission deadline(s);
- Satisfy all other SMCM admission requirements, which are available on the College website at www.smcm.edu or by contacting an SMCM admission counselor;
- Graduate from the Howard Community College with a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.2. Cumulative GPA is an average of all course grades you have taken at all of your previously attended colleges/universities;

Montgomery College
- Montgomery College students are eligible for guaranteed admission if they meet the following requirements:
- Graduate from MC with an Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Science (A.S.), Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.), Associate of Science in Engineering (A.S.E.), or Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.)
- Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0
- Submit MC transcripts along with transcripts from any other colleges they may have attended prior to attending MC
- Enroll in SMCM within one year of graduating from MC without attending another institution of higher education
- Satisfy all other SMCM admission requirements
Students previously enrolled at SMCM are not eligible.
Prince George’s Community College

Teacher Academy of Maryland (TAM)
Students who successfully complete the Teacher Academy of Maryland (TAM) Program of Study at a Maryland high school will receive transfer credit for EDUC-140.
In order to be eligible to receive the transfer credit, students must have maintained a cumulative GPA of at 3.25 in the program of study with no grade of than a C in any TAM course.
Students must have this form completed by their high school and submitted to admissions@smcm.edu.
Verto Education
St. Mary’s College of Maryland is proud to partner with Verto Education–an academic program that allows you to start your college experience abroad at one of their 5 global study centers before transitioning to St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
All courses, credits, and transcripts at Verto locations are delivered by Verto’s accredited Academic Provider, the University of New Haven. This coursework has been reviewed and articulated by St. Mary’s College of Maryland to our course offerings. This allows not only for a timely graduation, but a seamless transition to St. Mary’s College of Maryland after your semester abroad and once admitted to St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Wor-Wic Community College
- Graduate from WWCC with an Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Science (A.S.), or Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.);
- Are enrolled at the Wor-Wic Community College in good standing;
- Submit the SMCM Application for Admission by the Transfer Priority Admission deadline(s);
- Satisfy all other SMCM admission requirements, which are available on the College website at www.smcm.edu or by contacting an SMCM admission counselor;
- Graduate from the Wor-Wic Community College with a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.2. Cumulative GPA is an average of all course grades you have taken at all of your previously attended colleges/universities;
- Complete the SMCM transfer admission process, including meeting all applicable SMCM requirements and deadlines pertaining to application for admission, enrollment, orientation, and registration, and payment of tuition and fees;
- Abide by the policies and procedures, and any revisions thereof that apply to all SMCM students;
- Submit Wor-Wic Community College official transcripts along with transcripts from any other colleges they may have attended in addition to Wor-Wic Community College ; and
- Enroll at SMCM within 1 year of graduating from Wor-Wic Community College.
