St. Mary’s College of Maryland President Joseph Urgo will join Lora Black—a radio announcer and Cather enthusiast, and Martha Despain—a board member of the Cather Foundation, for a panel discussion on American Pulitzer winner Willa Cather (1873-1947). The talk, sponsored by the American Women Writers National Museum, will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, from 12-1 p.m. in the McLendon Room of the National Press Club. It will be moderated by Leslie Levy, executive director of the Willa Cather Foundation.

“I am excited to take part in a conversation highlighting one of the finest writers in American literature,” said Urgo. “I am grateful to the American Women Writers National Museum for the opportunity to discuss Cather’s work and its contribution to American culture.”
