St. Mary's City, Md. – For the fourth straight year, the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's basketball team will be hosting NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship Tournament action. No. 14 St. Mary's will welcome the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center Arena for a first-round game on Saturday, March 2nd at 7:00 p.m.
TICKETS: Ticket sales for Saturday night's NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship First Round game will begin Wednesday, February 27th at 7:00 a.m. at the concession stand (when facing the Welcome Desk, the stand is to the left) in the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center on the St. Mary's College of Maryland campus.
Prices for Saturday's contest are $6 for adults and $3 for senior citizens, all students (with ID) and children. Children younger than 2 years of age are free.
Kelly Schroeder, the Assistant Dean of Students, and the Office of Student Activities will buy tickets for the first 200 St. Mary's students. SMCM students must present their school ID in order to pick up a free ticket and there is a one free ticket limit per SMCM student.
While Dr. Beth Rushing, the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty, will purchase tickets for the first 100 St. Mary's faculty/staff members. SMCM faculty/staff must present their school ID in order to pick up a free ticket and there is a one free ticket limit per SMCM faculty/staff member.
The NCAA has allotted St. Mary's 800 tickets for Saturday night (500 adults and 300 senior citizens, students, and children). If the senior citizens/students/children tickets sell out, you will have to purchase an adult ticket for $6.
