Annual Holocaust and Genocide Series at St. Mary’s College of Maryland Presents “I Have No Right to Be Silent” Exhibit

As a part of the 17th annual Holocaust and Genocide Series at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, “I Have No Right to Be Silent: The Human Rights Legacy of Rabbi Marshall T. Meyer,” a human rights traveling exhibit from Duke University, will be on display from September 19 through November 30 on the second floor of the college’s Montgomery Hall Fine Arts building. The exhibit will focus on Marshall T. Meyer, an American rabbi and human rights activist during Argentina’s Dirty War. There will be a reception for the exhibit on October 4 starting at 4:15 p.m. in the Boyden Gallery of Montgomery Hall.

The 17th annual Holocaust and Genocide Series, “Memorials and Dirty Wars: The Afterlife of the Holocaust in Yugoslavia and Argentina,” brings to light the lasting political impacts of the Holocaust in communities around the world with a series of events occurring this fall through winter. The series is sponsored by the Lecture and Fine Arts Committee as well as the departments of philosophy and religious studies, international languages and cultures, and history.
