Poet and author Zach Savich will read from his collected works at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, in Daugherty-Palmer Commons at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Savich is the author of three collections of poetry, a book of creative nonfiction on art and the imagination, and the recipient of numerous awards, including the Iowa Poetry Prize, the Colorado Prize for Poetry, and the Omnidawn Chapbook Competition. He is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, a book review editor with the Kenyon Review, and teaches at Shippensburg University. The event is sponsored by the college’s Department of English and the VOICES Reading Series. It is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served following the reading.
