Press Release #11-148
You have seen the stink bugs in and around your house, and we’re told there will be many more. Where did they come from? What will they damage? And what can you do about it? Stanton Gill, professor and extension specialist for nurseries and greenhouses at the Central Maryland Research and Education Center at the University of Maryland, will talk about the brown marmorated stink bug and another pest, the spotted winged drosophila, in a public lecture in Schaefer Hall 109 at St. Mary’s College of Maryland at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27. He will share the latest research on these two invasive pests and the latest control strategies.
