The spring Human Rights Film Series at St. Mary’s College of Maryland kicks off with the Academy Award-winning “The Lives of Others,” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, January 27, at Cole Cinema in the Campus Center. The suspenseful drama follows two Germans in East Berlin right before the Wall falls. A discussion by Professors Christine Wooley, David Ellsworth, and Katherine Gantz follows.
St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
