Winter can be the best time to prune trees. Landscape staff from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and Historic St. Mary’s City (HSMC) will demonstrate the best winter pruning techniques Saturday, February 12. Meet at the HSMC Visitor Center at 10 a.m. Wear work shoes and bring hand pruners and/or loppers if you have them for the two-hour outdoor session.
