Annual Holiday Tradition, Handel’s "Messiah," Will Be Performed Dec. 5

The St. Mary’s College of Maryland’s Choir and Orchestra will perform G.F. Handel’s “Messiah,” an oratorio, at 4 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2010, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Lexington Park. The free annual holiday music tradition will be conducted by Larry Vote, the college’s vice president of academic affairs and choir director. St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
