Choir and Chamber Concert Nov. 19

The Music Department at St. Mary's College of Maryland will host a choir and chamber concert at 4 and 8 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2010, in Montgomery Hall, room 25. The event is free and open to the public. For questions, contact music department operations director Tom Vaudin:

Directed by Larry Vote, Claudio Montiverdi's "Beatus Vir" and two madrigals also by Montiverdi will be performed, as well as two spirituals by Moses Hogan, two pieces by Stephen Paulus, and a setting of St. Mary's poet Lucille Clifton's "blessing the boats" by alumnus Scott Humburg '06.

St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
