To Laura Otis Franklin '92 and Jack Kyle Franklin, a daughter, Brooke Elizabeth, born October 21, 2008, weighing 9 pounds 3 ounces. Her big sister, Shelby Lynn, was born two years earlier on the same day! Laura is an elementary theater teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District.

To Sarah Cole Steinberg '92 and Jonathan Steinberg '94, a son, Declan Cole, born December 16, 2008, weighing 8 pounds 11 ounces. Sarah is a training specialist at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. Jonathan works as a tutor. The family lives in Federal Hill in Baltimore, although Sarah says their "days there are numbered with the little guy!"

Aileen works from home as a human resources consultant for HR Focal Point. The family lives in Erie, Colorado. Aileen says reading Mulberry Tree makes her feel closer to St. Mary's, which she really misses living in landlocked Colorado!

To Heather Martin Jauquet '00 and William P. Jauquet '00, a daughter, Lillian Teresa, born October 22, 2008. Her big brother, William David, adores her. Heather is taking a sabbatical from teaching to stay home with the kids. Will is a lawyer for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The family lives in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

To Stephen Morningstar '00 and Jamie Morningstar '01, a daughter, Alexandra Grace, born April 12, 2007 in Karaganda, Kazakhstan, and adopted February 17, 2009. Sasha joins her big brothers Samuel, age 8, and Benjamin, age 5, in the boisterous Morningstar home. The family lives in Orem, Utah.

To Michelle Nestlerode O'Donnell '00 and Michael O'Donnell, a daughter, Olivia June, born May 23, 2008, weighing 7 pounds 9 ounces. The family lives in Huntingtown, Maryland.

To Elizabeth Eynon Peel '00 and Gerald Peel, a son, Calvin William, born December 22, 2008. Mom says he was the best Christmas present ever! Elizabeth and Gerald were married August 20, 2004, and live in Glenshaw, Pennsylvania.

To Jessica Koziol Weldon '00 and John (Jed) Weldon '00, a daughter, Elysia Margaret, born December 16, 2008, weighing 8 pounds 15.5 ounces. Jessica is a speech/language pathologist with the Howard County, Maryland, public school system. Jed is a pharmacology research fellow at the National Institutes of Health. The family lives in Columbia, Maryland.

To Melissa North Grant '01 and Adam Grant '01, a son, Willem Addison, born December 21, 2008. He joins big sister, Annabelle. The family lives in Easton, Maryland.

To Conor O'Byrne '02 and Hanna Przada, a son, Tadhg, born August 25, 2008, in Boulder, Colorado. He joins big brother, Liam, who was born March 5, 2005, in Nantucket, Massachusetts. In May 2008, Conor received a joint bachelor's and master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and works for the Kiewit Building Group on a 355-bed student housing project for the University of Denver. Conor notes that "the Rockies are nice, but the water always beckons!"

To Katie Abell Harper '03 and Jesse Harper, a son, Zachary David, born February 24, 2009, weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces and 19.5 inches in length. The family lives in Lexington Park, Maryland.

To Kristina Sementilli Evans '04 and Rob Evans, a girl, Delaney Lee, born June 23, 2008, weighing 6 pounds. The family lives in Bel Air, Maryland.

To Teresa "Tiki" Shasho '04 and Michael Clark, a son, Anthony Edward, born January 2, 2009, weighing 9 pounds 9.7 ounces. Tiki and Michael were married November 30, 2007. She is a mortgage loan officer at BB&T Bank and he works for OutsourceIT. Tiki writes that Anthony has two sets of grandparents living less than five miles away; and in May, Anthony was to go on his first (but certainly not his last) trip to Walt Disney World. The family lives in LaPlata, Maryland.

To Caroline Humphrey Wood '04 and her partner Sarah Cohen Wood, a daughter, Alora Poplar Wood, born November 20, 2008. Caroline and Sarah had a commitment ceremony in August 2007 in Charleston, South Carolina. The following alums were there: Corita Waters '00, Lindy McBride '03, Megan Gabriel '04, Reed Higgins '04, Jessica Searle '05 and Eli Snyder '07. The family lives in Underhill, Vermont, in a cabin abutting 35,000 acres of protected mountain forest.

To Amanda Lamont Link '05 and Daniel Link '05, a son, Benjamin Daniel, born November 20, 2008, weighing 7 pounds 11 ounces. Dan works as an associate engineer with Orbital Sciences Corporation in Greenbelt, Maryland, and Amanda is a special education teacher at The Forbush School in Baltimore, working with children who have been diagnosed with autism. The family lives in Nottingham, Maryland.

To Natasha Bailey '06 and Kyle Kopatz, a son, Caleb Aaron, born October 1, 2008, weighing 7 pounds 1 ounce. Natasha and Kyle met at the University of Maryland College Park campus in the Special Education Certification Program. Natasha is an autism therapist. The family is moving to Columbia, Missouri, this summer where Natasha will be pursuing her doctorate in special education behavior disorders and autism.
