Pi Sigma Alpha: The National Honor Society in Political Science
This is an honor society for college students of Political Science and government in the United States. The purpose of this site is to bring together students and faculty interested in the study of government and politics, and also to stimulate scholarship and interest in Political Science.

Florida State's Summer Pre-Law Program
This intensive 4-week program (May-June) provides an inside look at law school and the legal profession. Applications accepted October-March. $500 stipend and room and board provided. There are no fees for the program, though participants must cover transportation to and from Florida.

George Washington University Semester in Washington (GW-SIW)
At GW-SIW, students take two courses in applied politics while living and interning at GW in the heart of DC. GW-SIW is of enormous value to those who ultimately wish to work on Capitol Hill. The special SMCM application can be downloaded here, and should be returned to the SMCM CDC by November 1 for the Spring program and March 1 for the Summer program.

The GSIP introduces students to the unique challenges and rewards of working within Maryland State Government.
MD General Assembly Legislative Intern Program
Each Spring up to 100 interns serve part- to full-time (Tuesday and Thursday at a minimum) at the Maryland General Assembly. 3.0 GPA and Junior/Senior standing required.
