Elizabeth Clune-Kneuer is the Associate Director of Institutional Research. She completed her baccalaureate degree from the University of Delaware with a dual major in Economics and East Asian studies. She also possesses a Master of Education from the University of Virginia in Social Foundations. In 2009, she received a Fellowship from the Association of Institutional Research and the National Center for Education Statistics to support her Graduate Certificate from the Pennsylvania State University in Institutional Research, which she received in the summer of 2011. In the summer of 2011, Elizabeth was awarded a Fellowship to the National Data Policy Institute, which is operated by the Association of Institutional Research (AIR) with support from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).
Elizabeth oversees federal, state, and institutional reporting; college guides; and surveys (Senior Exit; 1-, 5-, and 10-year-out alumni surveys; National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE); and Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement (BCSSE). Additionally, Elizabeth serves the College through participation as an administrative hearing officer. She is the immediate past president for the 2012-13 Maryland Association of Institutional Research (MdAIR) Board of Directors. Elizabeth also is an active member of the North East Association of Institutional Research (NEAIR) and served on the Nominations Committee for 2011-12. Starting in November 2013, she will start her three year term on the NEAIR Steering Committee. Elizabeth has also presented at MdAIR, NEAIR, the Stevenson Assessment Expo, and Teaching Excellence Workshops. Elizabeth has also participated in college service through being a past member of the college’s strategic planning committee and has also served two terms as the staff senate secretary. In addition to college and professional affiliation service, Elizabeth has also served as a New England Association of School and Colleges (NEASC) accreditation team reviewer.

Ross Conover is the Research Analyst for the Office of Institutional Research and Reporting. Before joining the St. Mary’s OIRR, he spent three years working for the Government of the District of Columbia in the Economic Security Administration. Ross received his Bachelor of Science in Earth and Space Sciences and a Comprehensive Secondary Education Teaching Certification from Towson University in Towson, MD. He is currently completing his Master of Science degree in Higher Education Administration and Organizational Management with a concentration in Institutional Research and Planning from Drexel University. His research interests are retention of “at-risk” student populations, effectiveness of intervention strategies aimed at preventing attrition, and student engagement in higher education. Ross is responsible for preparing federal, state, and institutional reporting and the college guides.
